Dr. Kerry Pound Joins Saint George Faculty

After studying math and bioethics at Georgetown University and then philosophy and theology as a Rhodes Scholar, Dr. Pound earned her medical degree from McGill University and began a career in pediatric medicine.  She worked for almost twenty years as a pediatric hospitalist, mostly caring for sick and injured young patients in the emergency department.
In 2018, Dr. Pound started to homeschool and thus began a new journey of teaching, learning, and embracing classical literature and history.  Since then, she has homeschooled three of her four children for various seasons — while continuing to work in the ER.  Recently retired from pediatrics, Dr. Pound is excited to join Saint George’s community teaching students in some of her favorite subject areas — math and science.
