Dear Friends of Saint George Classical Academy, 'Tis the season for giving! This Nativity season, please consider the Saint George Classical Academy "wishlist" as a way to support the experience of our students. This is a wonderful way for parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts and uncles to give a meaningful gift which will support the mission of our school. With Gratitude

2025-11-26T07:39:01-05:00

Thanksgiving is an opportunity to pause and reflect on God's many blessings. Focusing on gratitude brings us hope and promise for all that is beautiful, good, and true. Thank you to each and every one of our teachers, families, students and benefactors. We could not be more grateful for each of you as you have come together around the Saint George community. God has truly given us the inspiration, talent and love that we have needed to build this beautiful school. I am personally grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you. Square Dancing, Veggie Creatures, and Beach Walks!

2025-10-28T09:54:17-04:00

We've had a full month of events including a Family Square Dance, and field trips to the Topsfield Fair and Crane Beach. Students submitted veggie creatures to the fair, many of whom won ribbons! Exploring our local ecosystems is an incredibly important part of deepening our connection to the beautiful natural world around us. And square dancing offers intergenerational connection and builds connections across our community! What a beautiful fall we are having here at Saint George Classical Academy.

Blessings Abound

2025-10-26T08:55:52-04:00

This month we have had the incredible blessing of having the Miraculous Hawaiian Myrrh Streaming Icon visit the school, as well as a pastoral visit from Metropolitan Nicholas who brought with him the Wonderworking Kursk Root Icon for students and families to venerate.  May the blessings of the Most Holy Mother of God continue to guide and protect our staff and our students!

Welcome Back for our Second Year!

2025-09-16T21:40:17-04:00

We have had an incredible start to our second year! With many new teachers, we gathered before Labor Day for professional learning led by our Curriculum Director, Dr. James Joyce. We deepened our understanding of classical education, established culture, and prepared to welcome new families and students. The following week we opened our doors to returning and new students. With more than 150% growth, we are truly excited to welcome families who are deeply committed to the vision of the school. We also launched our Upper School with 9th and 10th grade and are excited to welcome such a strong foundational group of students. [...]

2025-07-24T12:08:56-04:00

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a strings program at Saint George Classical Academy. With the generous support of a matching grant from the ACTA Classical Schools Foundation, we will launch a strings program beginning with our Lower School. Students in kindergarten through grade 5 will begin on violin with 3 lessons built into the school day weekly. Mrs. Olivia Morrow, a trained classical violist and teacher will support this program development. Support our matching grant as we begin this incredible opportunity for our students. Donate Here.

Opa! Modern Greek launches at Saint George

2025-07-22T07:18:27-04:00

A native speaker, Dr. Irene Chrysovalantou Duros will launch our Modern Greek program this September. Dr. Duros has extensive experience developing curricula and programming. Instruction will begin with our Early Learners (3 and 4 year olds) as they learn through song, games and stories and will continue through the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. Students will begin their study according to their level of competency and will learn with the goal of being able to read, comprehend, converse, and write. As we grow our program, we will introduce Ancient Greek within the Upper School, as well as study abroad opportunities to [...]

Upper School (9th & 10th Grade) Opens This September

2025-07-21T20:54:42-04:00

This September we will launch our Upper School, beginning with 9th and 10th grades, which will be located within a beautiful historic New England home on the edge of the property, an appropriately classical setting which will be equipped with a long wooden table for seminar-style discussions, expansive whiteboards for detailed mathematical calculations, equipment for chemistry labs, and lounge spaces for reading, contemplation, and independent study. Our core faculty has been working to develop a classical curriculum that weaves together the humanities, faith and theology, language, fine arts, music, mathematics, and the sciences. Our Upper School program of study is designed to orient our [...]

Thank You For A Beautiful First Year

2025-06-30T13:00:08-04:00

We closed out an incredible first year with an Olympic-themed field day, a multi-cultural folk dance and pot luck, burying a time capsule, and reflecting on friendship, faith, and growth. We could not be more grateful for the love and support from our benefactors, families, teachers and students who made this beautiful dream possible. We are looking forward to a restful summer, as we prepare to welcome everyone back in September.
